I didn't realize PE defeated WC before the BC. I would've thought there would be other horses pictured at that point in the race inside of Personal Ensign. It almost looks like a match race.

You're a lucky man to have seen all of these great horses and have the photos!

El Pitirre is stunning.

It basically was a match race. This race and the Breeders Cup basically finished Winning Colors.

The Maskette ( then one mile....now the 1 1/8 Go for Wand ). I think it was a four horse field.

I just said, "Wow" outloud as I looked through these. It's like a heavenly post parade. Thanks again for sharing these and, dare I say, keep 'em coming.

Correct. Sham Say was third. I think Thirty Zip rounded them out. Cadillacing was a late scratch.

That was a fun day. Slew O'Gold's Awe Inspiring broke his maiden earlier in the card.

Me too, and yo, I'm not even from Joisey.

GoIrish 03-22-2011 01:33 PM

Sorry to hear that ;).

I still can't believe Spend a Buck lost the Haskell. My 13 year old jaw was on the ground.
