ATR REMINDER: 12-2pm Thurs/Fri; Back to 9a-12p Monday!

Just heard from New York, and it appears we will only be running 12-3p for 2 weeks now, returning to 9a-12p on March 21st...

Wouldn't you think 12-3 PM is a better spot than early AM when many folks are starting their work daze....

Have you ever seen any data about how the 3-6 PM #s compare to the 9-12 AM #s?

You still have the most entertaining and informative show in the industry any time of the day no matter when it airs. It would be interesting to know what times maximize your exposure.....

Thanks Doc. We can't get too much of a read on this interesting 12-3pm ET cameo, but there hasn't been any phone call fall-off at all, which is usually a good barometer of listenership. SiriusXM's internal subscriber polling indicates that ATR has a steady, loyal audience of an estimated 20,000-25,000 listeners any given week. The 9a-12p ET has some distinct positives, especially when adding the 6-9a re-play to it which creates a 6 hour block of original programming, and the audience has definitely migrated to it over these last 8 months from the old, long-standing 4-7pm ET slot. One aspect of the other racing programming on the network is a financial arrangement for the airtime, and it will be nearly impossible for ATR to work around that as long as it's in place. I'm enjoying the 12-3p special, but am very comfortable with how the morning show has evolved.

Got to agree here. At first I was not sure the 9-12 was going to be good, but I've adjusted now and am listening to the show live more than before even though I'm at work. Get to work at 7 and try to arrange my face to face interactions before 9 so that I can slap the headphones on and just plow through my CAD work while the show is live. Bathroom breaks on the quarter hour and usually miss 11:30-noon but catch that on the archive in the afternoon. Seems like you have had more trainers (especially from the west coast) and even jocks in this time slot too. I do miss Gary West though.

No matter where you end up, we of the 25K will find a way to get our fix.

While it was a bit difficult to adjust to, I really enjoy the 9-12 show, sit down to work, listen to my local NPR station and when the BBC comes on, I now it is time to switch to Steve.

The 12 -3 show is tough. I frequently forget to tune in, and, since I work with people on the West coast, I am in back to back conference calls from noon until 4 so even if I do remember to tune in, I can hardly listen.

With all that, it seems we are still listening to cricket at 12.10 today!!!

ATR is streaming on the Internet if you are near a computer.

As a 5+ year Sirius subscriber, I say, ENOUGH WITH THE ****ING CRICKET ALREADY!

Even if one was remotely interested in these matches(?), they don't play on the radio. I tried listening for 15 seconds (just checking to see if ATR was on around noon), ENOUGH!
