Can we see if Old Friends can start taking donations for him to reside there once his 5 races are finished this year at Meydan?

freddymo 03-03-2011 11:54 AM

Maybe you guys know the answer to this question. If Sheik Mohammed bin Kalifa wins a race does his brother Sheik Mo have the track bookeeper cut him a check for the purse or do you guys think they just keep a running tab? Seriously you can't make up the stupidity of this meet.

Mendip is a nice horse especially considering he is the product of poorly bred American stock.

Tam Lin continues to impress.

BTW Pat Cummings on FIRE.. Good for you Pat dont let anyone know you are betting there I hear infidels don't have many supporters in Dubai!

freddymo 03-03-2011 12:12 PM

Don't you just love when Juddmonte's 1 beats Godolphins 6.. How come Prince Abdulla isn't repped as such in the PP's in Dubai?

Nice effort by Richards Kid and Etched welcome home to the Godolphin Angel thread.

The race comments aren't up yet, the stewards report isn't up yet, the Godolphin site thing isn't up yet.... are you being funny here or what?

I've liked this one for so long.

Are you being a smartass or did he break down?

You really need to keep the Godolphin horses in their own special thread

I'm done being the big boyz in blue supporter.

You know this.

Someone else can have the pleasure.

So he was pulled up which means he might be okay. Whew.

The race was not without incident, however, as Etched, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin to win the Monmouth Cup in October, broke down in his first start for Godolphin’s Mahmood Al Zarooni at the halfway point after having raced in the middle of the 14-runner field. Richard’s Kid, now trained by Satish Seemar after victories for Bob Baffert in the Pacific Classic and the Goodwood Stakes, showed little in finishing unplaced.

Why do you care, Pat didn't pick him?

Don't worry they bought a few new toys today at Fasig Tipton 2 year old sale to replace him

PatCummings 03-03-2011 05:12 PM

I have Freddymo blocked, so I don't know what he is or is not saying...I can imagine...

Etched looked like he bled, he definitely did NOT break down as Terry Spargo reported before the next race that he was just slow to recover and the ontrack vet didn't find any specific injuries in an oncourse inspection. It didn't come through his nostrils, but that's what it looked like to me - he stopped like he was shot but everything else was sound. Simon De Montfort looked the say too.

Come on Pat, man up..........just because you don't agree with everything Freddymo says there is no reason to block him and than question(assume) what he is saying. If you don't agree with him than don't respond but I was hoping you were better than this.

Thank you for this as I looked around a little and on another forum they were saying he was gone.

I am really really happy that he's not.
