Touching, beautiful, amazing.

Thank you for posting this. I'm so glad you did... :)

Incredible stuff. A bit disquieting, perhaps only because it's so uncommon. But also touching and moving. If any horse deserved a funeral, he was the one.

Amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing.

A glimps as to why this sport was referred to as the sport of kings. I wish people today realized how significant and popular horse racing was back in the day. I think most people would be suprised.

Anyway thanks again for the goose bumps.:)

Embalming a horse for an open casket funeral is a bit creepy if you ask me.

You can only hope Zenyatta gets the same treat upon her demise. Wait a second, is she mortal, time will tell?

I knew it was just a matter of time until Zenyatta was brought up in this thread.

satan's twin 02-25-2011 03:35 PM

Embalmed, stuffed into a box and then had his genitals covered by a cloth?

Jeesus, why stop short of putting him in a top hat and a tuxedo for the complete amusement of those "500 to 2000" drooling imbeciles who came out in the rain to see him off ?

Thank you. I never knew of these events. The funeral has provided a historic moment in racing history.
