Smells like inflation

Why?

If you do it for one horse, why not do it for all? Why not do it for every horse running that weekend? Or update it non-stop, always revising, for every runner? Because it's impossible, of course.

It was the first day of a new surface, and the second lifetime start for a decent youngster. Let the number stand and quit tinkering 6 weeks later.

You can't do it for just one horse. Everything behind him also improves six points - and if he held the same variant in his sprints - everything in every sprint race that day improves six points.

Figures are always going to be more accurate if tricky days are adjusted months later after all the run-backs can be examined.

I will never understand why all this continues to be so difficult for people to understand.

Then again, if I discussed yesterday's late Pick-4 at Tampa, the anti-Beyer venom would increase even more.
