Deutsche Bank Championship

Score going into Monday...Odds

Vijay Singh -11 4/7

Tiger Woods -8 13/8

Justin Rose -8 14/1

JJ Henry -6 80/1

Shaun Micheel -6 80/1

Need Rose to win (to get live for $1400 with A's to win W.S.)...He has played well, but not well enough.

Do you think he could help Michele Wie get just one? I really think it is kind of sad that everybody knows who that girl is,but she hasn't even won on the LPGA Tour.

A la Anna Kournikova on the women's tour. She retired having won zero tournaments but was more well known than any woman in the history of tennis. Okay, Wie is far more talented and will win a bunch. But you know where I am going with this.

She took advantage of her looks and modest (by pro standards) tennis ability...admire her for that actually! Wie also has the looks and when she matures fully...wow! You are right, she needs that first win...I suspect that after she gets one, nobody will stop her! Similar situations now, but I suspect in a couple years...the comparisons will cease...will she ever dominate like Annika and Tiger? I doubt anyone will in our lifetimes!

Believe it or not, this week she is playing against men in a Euro PGA event in the Swiss Alps. This is a course that the long-hitting guys from Argentina have enjoyed.Eduardo Romero has won it twice, and his countryman Ricardo Gonzalez dominated one year too.Romero should actually have won it about 4 times. He is now 52,but loves the course, and will tee it up.He came 2nd in the Senior British this year, and won a major 2 weeks ago on the U.S. Senior Tour.I think he still hits it a ton.Remarkable guy(I think he gives yoga a lot of credit for his success.)Other than Sergio Garcia, the field comes up light here this week.

anna did make it to the semis at Wimbeldon - so there was some talent there

More well known than
Navratilova
Chris "Don't call me Jim" Everett
Billie Jean King
even Steffi Graff?

Sabatini was hotter than her.
