Woodward Beyers

Premium Tap got a 111 Beyer and Second of June got a 110. Sun King is not listed in the DRF list which goes to 109, so he must have gotton a 108.

Those are Beyers good enough for running in the BCC!

Danzig 09-03-2006 10:54 AM

tap isn't eligible.....so much for woodward/bcc winners three years in a row.

I dont think Premium Tap was bc nominated and thus would have to pay a massive supplemental fee to get in. With his prospects for winning being dim, it would make no sense to pay the fee.

dunno about papi, don't know that anyone would care if he got in either...

as for premium tap, he'd have to win to make it worth the risk of supplementing. seems every year at least one legit entrant misses out due to the steep fee. but everyone knows ahead of time what the rules are....they're better off doing just what they said, pointing to the dwc. the rewards outweigh the risk...just hope they take the med withdrawal sheet they receive with a grain of salt!!

I was just reading a DRF article on the Ky Cup Classic, and it mentioned that Premium Tap was given a 107 Beyer for the Woodward. That means that yet another set of BSF's has been downgraded after the fact. (I'm sure the figs I originally posted were correct at the time.)

The difference between a 111 Beyer and a 107 Beyer is significant. It represents about 2.5 lengths.

This has been happening more and more frequently. It seems as if they are in too much a hurry to get figs up after a big race. Either that or Beyer has some incompetent people making his figs and Beyer feels he has to step in and make corrections.
