do people make side-deals on claiming races a lot?
like...do they say...if noone claims him for 35 i'll take him for 20?
is that allowed?

much improved today - think the prolonged warm-up courtesy of Iguazu :zz: truly helped, thanks Team DeeTee as always for your efforts ...

pweizer 01-20-2011 12:48 PM

This was a very encouraging performance. If he runs this race again, he will win at this level.

Thanks Gary and Steve.

Very nice effort by the happy gelding today and he came back feeling good. Chavez said he felt strong under him and never stopped trying to reel in the leader. Changed leads late unfortunately and you could see the boost he got from it as he started to come back on the winner and the favorite in the final yards.

I have his splits as:

0:23.2 (:23.2)
0:47.0 (:23.3)
0:59.0
1:11.1 (:24.1)

WIRE PHOTO

Did anyone see him getting impatient pre-race during the delay? Stamped and pawwed with his right front a few times... "Let's go!" February 10, same race, the logical target.

pmacdaddy 01-20-2011 03:05 PM

The Dee Tee crew on hand got some up close action dodging the loose runner from by the top of stairs by Main Track edge... He was making a line right for us after busting out of the Inner.

Glad to see an improved run by Lloyd. Looking forward to AC / Jets doubleheader on Sunday.

Best race since his layoff. No quit in him this time. Very encouraging. Next time is the one ! V
