He was an awesome singer. Sad to kill yourself at such a relatively young age with alcohol.

:zz: What is your silly crap supposed to mean now, Dell? The world revolving around me? I'm not near 62. That's a stupid thing for you to say. The world revolving around Rafferty? That makes no sense. Another stupid thing for you to say.

Yeah, it's very sad he killed himself at a relatively young age, as most 62-year-olds nowadays will easily live to be 80-85.

Have another drink, Dell. Only you can take a topic and turn it's focus away from the subject, and onto your own issues. Talk about the world revolving around Dell ...

Rafferty has been well-known, long-time alcoholic, unfortunately. Just google it. Several other obituaries mentioned it. His specific cause of death was complete renal failure (his kidneys stopped working).

Very sad, he was very, very talented. I loved "Right Down the Line", too.

30-35 is young, 45 relatively young and 62 is late middle age at best. Of course in my 'have another drink opinion'. And sorry I thought you were closer to 62 than 45.

RIP Gerry. Don't forget he was part of Steeler's Wheel, with the classic hit "Stuck in the Middle With You", what a great tune that was.

Baker Street is a classic, featuring one of the great Sax solo's ever.
