take control
Untill he sustained his injury, he had moved to one of the top contenders in the derby. Wondering if he is preping for a return, Is he at GP or on the farm. If he is sound , could he be a major player in the Hcp division this year?

All kidding aside, he worked on 11/10 and hasn't since and that was his lone work in the last 60 days, so he's obviously not in training and not healthy. If he does get healthy I'd be concentrated on him clearing a N1X before I considered him a stakes horse. |

Apparently Baffert (got this from the Paulick Report) said he has shin problems and will probably be back in 60 days. Honestly? I don't think we'll ever see him on the track again - he's going to miss most of his 4 year old season and only has 1 start under his belt. They continue to stop and start on him............it's just not a good sign. I hope he makes it back because he had talent, but I'm not holding my breath.

Take Control is coming back in an optional claimer on 10/7 at Santa Anita at 1 mile. It's race 6, $48,000. He's drawn post 7. Martin Garcia up. While I have it open, DRF stable mail thingy fun fact: he worked five furlongs on 9/27 in :59.60.
