The Indomitable DrugS 12-13-2010 01:17 PM

Retirement

Today is the right time to call it quits.

I've talked with many about it over the last few hours - and they have offered to put a small 'DrugS' decal on the back of their helmet (avatar) I was touched by the genuine outpouring of love and support.

Sure, I have rubbed pretty much all of you the wrong way at one time or another. That board persona I had so long ago cultivated was naturally how I might act at a Jr. High lunch table - my posting style was how I might act in a gym class with a substitute gym teacher.

Now that I'm in my late 20's - it's time to retire. If there is a Florida of the Internet (a place for old people like me to retire to) it would probably be Pace Advantage. I won't be going there either though.

This is truly a young mans game - and I'm much too old for it. If not a young mans game, it's also a bored workers game .... If I ever accept a job - and I grow to hate the job ... I'll be here during work ASAP.

When I was a young guy - back in the day - every day at the betting parlor was a blast. Extremely young to very old alike - we gambled together, we talked about racing together in between races - and we joked around a lot. Those were fun times, but as computer betting became big ten years ago, that experience was lost...and message boards filled that role well.

There's no one here I don't like. There's no one here who I wouldn't have a beer with. I will miss you all - just like I miss the old off-track days as a kid. It's 2:17 PM - I'm a senior on his last day - and school lets out at 2:50.

Some people have no shame in the way they die.The above is a ghastly example of how it's not done.

Vic and DrugS both within a 24 hour span? What a tremendous loss to the message board community. December 12th and 13th will be forever known as the "Days the Keyboard Died".

Don't these things usually happen in threes, Hossy?

Perhaps you'd like to become the official consultant on such matters...

Not too worry...Stevie has already made that decision.

Although Alan will still paint his noodle pictures and show his film.

DrugS is going nowhere. A worse attention whore than his avatar.

Like I said, just cashing in on a day that will live in NT Infamy.

Too kind, but at midnight Clyde changes to Hyde...in a permanent sort of way.
