If this stays on the turf, Schwartz Family's Knock Quietly is the horse to beat with some obvious options lining up behind. One not so obvious option is John Campo Jr.'s #7 A Rod who has foundation and is out the owner-breeder's own nice racemare Ma Femme who did plenty of her hard-knocking in turf routes. Pedigree fans will appreciate that Ma Femme hails from the blue hen tail female line of Levee/Bourtai..

Most Likely: #10 Knock Quietly 5-2 2nd
Best Value: #7 A Rod 15-1 5th
Next Best: #5 Raffie's Choice 5-1 4th
Super Add: #8 Rudy Rudy Rudy 4-1 3rd

<$150 P6 Play:

4: 1-4-8
5: 5
6: 2-5-6
7: 5-6
8: 2-4-5-8
9: 10

3x1x3x2x4x1 = 72 x $2 = $144

<$75 P4 Play:

6: 2-5-6
7: 5-6
8: 2-4-5-8
9: 5-7-10

3x2x4x3 = $72

Good luck!
Steve

Nice $21 on the Weaver at least makes up for the Prix/Karakorum beat in the 4th..

I like to play off changes, and First Day responded well off the long layoff and trainer change;picks up JR Velazquez

Castellano is riding, Mr. Change.

Zealous Boy is being overbet as he rapidly became the wiseguy horse. If Pete's Parley runs back to his last he's going to crush this field. I'll try to slide in Digger Karakorum too who received a terrible ride last time.

I think Dominguez is the only jock who has rated a horse on the inner today. Seems to be a winning strategy.

Yeah, it's really ridiculous how much he bends them over every day.

Kasept 12-08-2010 03:23 PM

Takes the whole pool... $109k.

Coach Pants 12-08-2010 03:24 PM

Why are they still running on the turf? Both those races were abysmal.

Thx Matt-O.. Did OK but not nice enough. Don't know what else a horseplayer can do to hit a P6. Prix de Karakorum was the kind of play you want to make whenever you get the chance. 9-1 and best and did everything but win the 4th thanks to Luzzi. In the 9th, Knock Quietly simply is gutless and may never win a race if he continues to refuse to pass horses. Hats off to the winner of the whole pool who used the Aquilino nightcap winner. Another example of being vigilant when it comes to Also-Eligibles drawing in, and even then only about the 5th or 6th best from a handicapping standpoint.
