Nice 2YO maiden at Hollywood Sunday

6th (3:06)

6 1/2 Furlongs (All Weather Track) | Open | 2 Year Olds Maiden Special Weight | Purse: $38,000

Post # Horse Jockey Weight Claim Price Equip. Med.
1 Pride of Silver Espinoza V 120 L
2 Quintons Destiny Gomez G K 120 L
3 World Renowned Talamo J 120
4 The Factor Rosario J 120
5 Oakcrest Drive Quinonez A 120 L
6 Dreamy Kid Flores D R 120
7 Balladry Valenzuela P A 120
8 Eric the Ram Maldonado E 120 Blk-Off L
9 All Slews Star Pedroza M A 120 L

World Renowned was purchased for 900k at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale in 2009. He's the first foal out of Splendid Blended and is by AP Indy.

The Factor has been discussed as some kind of freak in the mornings.

Dreamy Kid is a half to Elysium Fields (fill in joke here).

Balladry is by Unbridled's Song out of 1996 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Storm Song, who has had little success thus far as a broodmare.

as previously mentioned

at 6 1/2 AP Indy sired World Renowned is a bet against

When I first saw his preview in May I was hoping The Factor would show up some place back East like Philly Park or Delaware for his debut.

He obviously looks like one who isn't slow.

Good to see John Sadler getting B. Wayne Hughes horses now.

Perhaps, the trainer stats and the dam being a very fast mare may offset AP Indy's dismal sprint numbers.

War Front seemed to be the sire of several expensive 2yo-in-training grads.

Has he had any winners yet?

Kind of seems like he could end up being a turf sire given his pedigree.

Yeah, I thought he had a decent turf horse already. Looked up his other winners after hockey's post and it looks like half of them did so on turf.

I think he's had a little success in Europe. I really like him for turf routers value-wise.

That's some stride.

If he bombs today, a price might be had on him when he runs on dirt.

He could walk the entire race and still get bet in that situation being trained by Baffert going synthetic to dirt...

Indian Charlie 11-27-2010 11:21 AM

True.

Betsy 11-28-2010 05:10 PM

The Factor finished 4th...........

The Indomitable DrugS 11-28-2010 05:14 PM

Should have went to Philly or Delaware.

Indian Charlie 11-28-2010 06:23 PM

Or SA.

Total dirt horse.
