Figured a change from all of the This is Me and What Are You Listening To crap is needed.
Anyone have any posters that they think will move up?
I did a ton of research to come up with this list, and the top poster of 2010 is likely on it.

My number one is reading this thread right now...despite having me on ignore. Weird....

clyde 11-15-2010 08:27 PM

This is me.

This is what I am listening to:

I think Silent Screen makes the list by the end of the year and moves up pretty quickly.

Only 18 posts but start date is back in 2006 so do I call this one new anyway?

Going back I see a Giacomo thread was started way back when (oh my God I just got a headache. Amazing how that happens every time).

For those who would argue, here...

If Zenyatta isn't awarded the title she rightfully deserves, it will be because a majority of voters have little understanding of what's in the best interest of racing. In my 40+ years as a racing fan, no single horse has done more for racing in a single year than Zenyatta. Rewarding her for this singular accomplishment transcends all other reasons for casting a HOTY ballot.

Runner up for the sickeningly (is that a word?) annoying has got to be the new Bonnie Jay.

For those of you who have been following Satish's comments on At The Races, the book Headless Horsemen is a wonderful read --should be read by all of us--and so verifies Satish's frustration with the "Dinnies." Made me want to do something, but I haven't yet figured out what. As we approach the Breeder's Cup with its outstanding line-up, let's remember that we need to work together (with Satish) to improve racing for fans, owners, trainers and --mostly-- the horses!

I rest my case.

Fine work

I would need about three blunts and a morphine drip to make it through 5 minutes of conversation with Satish.

What about The Bidiot and IQof9? They are campaigning to make this list.

Yeah, I noticed that about Silent Screen. SS seems to have a woody for the Moss horses.

I am curious about that poster.

Remember how Jordan didn't win MVP some years even though he was clearly the best player? People said the reason for that was because his excellence became so expected that just being the best wasn't enough for him to win MVP every year.

I think that's the case with PG85 this year. Clearly he's the best there's ever been, but this year I'm not sure he's done enough to win it. Sure he dreamt the ending to a race, asked a horse racing message board how to play the stock market, and brought a lot of joy and merriment into all of our lives, but in my opinion he hasn't quite reached his own former standard of excellence.

2010 will probably always be remembered in the world of horsey boards as the year of the Zenyattard, and to honor that fact I think it would only be fair to give the award to Smooth Operator.

Some excellent choices there Hossy, and 1985 surely works really hard (see Rudy's siggy line:D) but I'm going to have to agree with miraja here. I've just never seen anything like it and I have the horsey love, but I think smoothie is the #1 Zenyattard and takes the prize home this year.
I guess to be awarded posthumously since he was darted today...:p

Then again we might could get miraja in there if I said the the name...Pepper's Pride:D:p

Solid list Hoss but I think we are underplaying the pure zenyatatard of
2 stupid 4 TV. If we expand to a top ten list this is a must include. PG1985 wants the title too much, who else would argue about Zenyatta for HOY and then start a thread asking if we care about HOY. Just ridiculous. My vote for #1 is Riot, she can't even believe 1/2 the sh1t she posts. She is like PG, she just wants the attention.

I strongly believe that the offical Nerdy Trail rulebook states that if a member becomes permanently darted, then he/she is no longer eligible to be included in any offical end of the year Nerdy Trail rankings.

Meaning with 2 stupid and Toll Booth Operator getting the heave ho within the last months, there is the potential for a sleeper to slip in to the top 6.

Exciting stuff.........................

clyde 11-16-2010 09:51 PM

I feel as though I should be on the list...as long as I do make it to years end.

So let's not disappoint me.

clyde 11-16-2010 09:57 PM

Well I've done it again.

Another thread...laid to waste.

dagolfer33 11-16-2010 10:26 PM

I wonder why I never make any of these popularity lists......to quote Benicio del Toro in Wolfman, " I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!!!!!! "....there, that should put me on some list somewhere.

clyde 11-16-2010 11:33 PM

You're number one on my list, baby.

Poularity?

Did you mean polarity? Or is that some sort of Cajun French word for poultry/chicken?
