Asmussen first string to winter at Santa Anita

His reasons seem bogus since he had no trouble finding races at Oaklawn for runners based at FG. Why not just come out and say that he wants to have a bigger presence in SoCal because the West Coast offers a new challenge.

I don't care what his reasons are. I'm just really happy that he's going there with the timing of the use of a new dirt track.

I hope this sends a message to all the other synthetic tracks.

No Doubt the new Dirt surface Probably has something to do with it. We tried this a few years ago and the cost of going out there and Maintaining a Stable is :$::$:astronomical:$::$:. Its really tough just to break even. Maybe he can make it work, he does win his fair share of races.
