9/30: Weather KO's Belmont Thursday card

No racing at Elmont today.. Heavy weather arrived on cue.

Driving in on water skis. Incredibly dangerous out there. Hope Andy is warm and safe.

I can't imagine much on the East Coast will be running today. Sunny down in Miami, but I have to believe they will be off the turf.

Better today than Sat., they were given their dose of unlucky weather last year.

Storms are supposed to be moving fairly quickly. I don't know about NY, but the forecast for here is calling for the rain to end this afternoon and the next 3 days be perfect.

They currently have the fire hoses out pumping water from the surface of the turf course at Belmont

Right now it isn't. But I would think that the bigger problem is going to be the wind gusts that are being called for over 40MPH.
I would think that people would be more annoyed capping for Belmont, plus the brave souls that show up and then they just end up canceling after the 2nd race.

It doesn't matter to me if they run or not. I'm not big on NY racing. My luck up there is 1 horse race and i'd still lose.:D
