9/17-Belmont 9th/Sunnybrook

Runs a 4 beyer last month upstate in a Statebred MdCl 20k after a 14 month layoff. So, it makes sense that she's 5-1ML for a Statebred MSW turf sprint.

Only going first off the claim for Rudy:rolleyes:

For what it's worth, she's well bred for turf....not that it matters today.

Look at it this way, you don't claim maidens ( generally ) if you expect them to win ( i.e. why claim a horse that is about to lose a condition ). Michael Dubb, who claimed her, is very sharp and also knew she was being bet like she couldn't run anymore. Yet he claimed her....and then sticks her right on the turf ( which she is bred to improve on ). Feels like a plan to me.

She still may win today, as her debut crushes these, but I am guessing they want to run her in turf sprints.

Good points.

What about Fortunate Run in the 6th? He would be a pretty good claim for 25k, no?

Why would someone pay $25,000 for a horse who's gotten repeatedly dusted in NY-bred N1X's?

Unbridled's Money Bonfire does it again. Since his smashing debut win at 13-1, he's been beaten as the favorite SIX times in a row at: 4-5, 4-5, 4-5, 1-5, 9-5 and today, 3-5.

Rudy should've given up riding a long time ago. . . the man is an expert horseman.
