Ever A Friend

Former Grade 1 winner (You Da Man Mike Mitchell:rolleyes:) can be had for $35k today in the 7th at Belmont. Always was a fan of this guy, even before Mitchell got him.

Well it's not like he is sound.. He had the same therapy that Lava Man had before it was performed on Lava Man...I love the horse, even though he beat me once out of stacks of cash!!!

Thanks for posting that.

Thanks for posting that. So many terrific horses just disappear from the radar, quietly and without fanfare. Equibase reports his new trainer as of the claim was Richard L. Stoklosa. If he is the trainer who persevered to find EAF a home, paid for his stall, his upkeep, and even the van ride, he deserves major kudos.

:)

I read somewhere (Facebook?) that it was actually his former trainer David Jacobson who ensured his safe retirement.

ETA - Yeah, check out Drawing Away Stable on Facebook for the story.

Jacobson was EAF's trainer prior to the last claim (again per Equibase), so perhaps he is the trainer to whom the blog refers. It'd certainly be nice to give credit where credit is due.
