Give the Cowboys an A+ for effort

Lesser teams would had their QB take a knee with four seconds remaining on the clock in the second quarter. But why leave the field at half down 3-0 when you can maybe razzle dazzle your way down the field for a score.

If the uniforms were switched to Arizona and St. Louis, everyone would be in an uproar. But the level of play would be the same.

Or Bears and Lions.

In light of the last play of the game, it wouldn't be fair to the Rams or Cardinals to compare them to the Cowboys. Absolute bush league.

I think that was the first game I've ever seen where both teams lost. What a craptastic division.

that game should dissuade anyone from picking the boys to win it all.

Or make the playoffs. Or become a competent franchise again. Or walk and chew gum. They managed to out-tard the f'ing Redskins. That's an accomplishment.

my husband said that tony dungy picked the cowboys to win the super bowl. of course, that was pre-game. he's probably rethinking that pick. if he's not, he should be.

He'll stick with it because he thinks the other 31 teams are all gay.

Not for anything, but when did Tony Dungy become to most highest authority on anything tht has to do within the NFL? Just like him weighing in on Rex Ryan on Hard Knocks.
Don't get me wrong, I like Dungy. He won a Super Bowl and I really feel for him with the issue with his son. But honestly, who really gives a damn on or about everything he says or preaches?

:tro:

He's probably the most overrated coach in league history. Had Peyton Manning all those years and only one ring? And had the good fortune of facing the equally clueless Lovie Smith to get it.

He was booted out of Tampa for a reason.

Scav 09-13-2010 10:56 AM

Alot of that has to do with Wade Phillips, he just can not get a team ready. He has alot of talent on that team, and couldn't scheme his way out of having a bad offense line.

Even Lovie Smith schemed his way around a comedy o-line yesterday. And people were looking to fire his ass after passing on a FG to take the lead. COMEDY coach

Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it....

1) Never take points off the board
2) Alex Barron will get called for holding if left alone to play left tackle BUT the first media schmuck that acknowleges that Marc Columbo didn't answer the bell for the first game at LT will be the first to report it. Injuries are part of the game but Barron is second string and played like it so enough...
3) Third and long with :04 on the clock in a first half you haven't scored in is a reason to take a knee and go have a gatorade....

Loved it. Some things don't seem to changhe do they?:D

Romo is one of those guys that constantly finds a way to get food on his shirt, and/or dog shyt on his shoes. Somehow, I think he transfers that vibe to others. I'll tell ya 1 thing (for sure.) When you're QB is standing up there answering questions, there is no upside to having him keep saying how disappointing this n' that is. If you're his next opponent, does that make you more hopeful that you can beat him? It would me. Far as changing their "luck" goes, I'd start there.

i didn't say he was, i was just using him as an example of someone who picked them.

i don't understand why anyone would pick dallas. what's changed down there since last year, or the year before? nothing.

alysheba4 09-14-2010 03:08 PM

Wade Phillips has consulted with Les Miles on clock management and two-minute drives.
