Its a gimmick race, TVG has been advertising the match race between Flores and Pedroza, Derrick Do is a fill in if either horse has to scratch

Martin Pedroza has won a record 606 races at Fairplex Park, with 11 consecutive titles and 12 overall...

Flores' 338 Fairplex victories rank second all time. Flores led the standings six straight years, from 1989 through 1994.

It will beat hearing about Shrupp's latest bonehead move, where he cost himself and his friends 35k for putting the wrong number on the end of a P6 ticket.

The sad/odd part is this applies to the theme of the entries of opening day:

12 races and an average of around 6.7 per race.

Ok they are the 2 leading riders there ever. That justifies having a match race of two 35k claimers on a Friday afternoon? I just don't understand why they need to have a match race involving these 2 guys. You want to honor them, give them a day with a mug, t-shirt or bobblehead give away. But to have a match race on a card where they are averaging about 6 horses a race is nothing but adding insult to injury.

Martin is off his mounts today at DMR with a ''neck injury''.

It really doesnt make sense to have 12 horse fields at a bull ring track.

I like Dave's Ruler.
