Bull, Bogus, THAT IS NOT RIGHT!

The Pick 4 and 3 payouts today

The all Stakes Pick 4 I hit, whopee

WHAT REALLY, REALLY bites me is the Pick 3 from Races 9-11

NO WAY, NO HOW IS THAT RIGHT. $3.80 on a $1? Uh uh. Nope. Not right.

I am so flipping hot on this. NO WAY THAT IS RIGHT!

Should have been at least $15

Curt, are you serious? I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but the winners were 7/10, 3/4, and 4/10. That payoff seems like a bit of a gift. An all Sheikh pick 3 by the way! My guess is taht most singled Bernardini, a ton singled Henny, and went 1-2 deep in the Baruch.

of course its right Curt.....the parlay on those 3 horses is only $6.80 for $2. The Pick 3 paid $7.60 for $2.

You bet $2 win on Ashkal Way you get back $3.40
Take that $3 and bet it on Henny Hughes, you get back $5.25
Take that $5 and bet it on Bernardini, you get back $6.80.

Here's the math, using 1st Sat In May's figs of 7/10, 3/4, 4/10:

The chance that all 3 win is 0.7 * 0.75 * 0.4 = 0.21

Fair odds for a 0.21 chance is 1/0.21 -1 = 3.76 to 1. So, your 3.8 to 1 was right where it should have been.

take out

and don't forget the take out you get from the OTB

so, if you tried to parlay those three races
you get took 3 times instead of 1 time

I could never bet a pick 3 that will pay less than $100

The risk to reward ratio is too high

You will surely lose sma nice pays if you ont include the odds on. I unfortunately hit this one too but I also had a few others covered for the potential larger pay. To "never" include or use odds on plays will insure dead tickets more often than just a losing ticket. Many nice multi race tickets include odds on choices. Just look at earlier in yesterdays card.

It is because I touted the 1/2/5 on the Lock City thread, I am a man of the people, when I speak, DROVES follow. I am the Tiger Woods of the Handicapping industry

Furthermore, the 3.80 payoff is probably not only the most hilarious ticket I have ever hit, but probably the most disgusting, I feel like crap admitting that I hit it
