Saunders was throwing batting practice today, and (for some reason) Scioscia just kept bolted to that wood until it was 8-0.It isn't just him though. Why do managers wait so long to take a starter out that has no control of pitch location whatsoever.I see it happen a lot. They get the team buried badly.I don't get it.Take out the guy who is not gunna give you a chance to win.We have a pattern here with this pitcher. He seems to need that 5th day of rest.He will get that before his next start, but there is no shame in leaving a game early if ya can't help your team.LOL...Look at this guy for Toronto(LILLY.)HE was throwing b.p.,and gave up the majority of an 8 run lead that he just got.He got upset that the manager came to get him.I don't get that.If you give up 5 runs in an inning, you got to go.Some pitchers are a special case, and they often struggle early, and get better. That is not the pattern for Saunders,or LILLY.Often,Haren struggles early(seems to only struggle early.)Same for Escobar. They have established certain patterns that involve early struggles, and they find their marks soon after.
