Redboard King breezes; Returns 8/30
 

I see he went a nice and easy 6 furlong breeze at Philly this morning.

Are we getting him ready for some longer turf races?

Was he wearing his big, red hood?

Chuck will fill in the details, but he's hoping to get a 1m turf N2L in for King before the break at PHA.

REDBOARD KING breezed any easy 5f (1:04.0) Tuesday morning preparing for a start Monday 8/30 on Re-Opening Day at PHA. Entries taken Friday for the $25k NW2L event going 7.5f on the refreshed Philly turf..

Or is he being saved to compete on Smarty Jones day next Monday ?

His foot was sore this morning and might have a little bruise. We didn't want to risk having to scratch and lose our date if we had entered. It doesnt look too serious but he would have been less than 100% if we tried to run. Will ask if they will bring this race back in a few weeks.

Chuck...how is the track at Philly since they refurbished it over the break? Positive or negative reviews?

didn't realize til yesterday evening, but redboard king was listed in the smarty ad in the bloodhorse issue dated 7-17.
