won't be extradited. apparently if a rape charge is old enough, it doesn't count anymore.

Didn't the accusation happen before any statute of limitation could come into effect? So if you can stay on the run long enough you are home free? this is pathetic.

yes, it is pathetic. if you're rich and famous, and can flee the country without serving your sentence, apparently you get a pass.

In a way, I think this is the Swiss way of telling the US to stay out of their banking business..specifically the UBS leverage. I know it's apples and oranges, but there are a lot bigger things happening between these two countries and this was a round won by the Swiss, right or wrong.

That's about the only rational motive I can see for the Swiss' behavior in this case. It's sickening. Polanski should have been brought to justice a long time ago.
