It is pretty laughable what these guys make. They are basically worthless.

Previous guy made 125K every 6 weeks or roughly 1.5 months or 8 X 125K = 1.0 Mil

How does Bloodhorse figure that 10 times the previous guys salary seems like 1.5 Mil New guy vs 1.0 Mil previous guy or 50% more for New Guy. :zz:

Fire all the NYCOTB employees .

Funny how when it was 'revealed' that NYRA chief Charlie Hayward makes $400k a year there was incredulous outrage...

A dozen NYC OTB board member and executive scum drawing $500,000-$750,000 for doing nothing and now this new insult, and we'll see how much howling goes on. In the meantime, NY breeding farms STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS from the last 2 years.

That is an absurd salary but I'd say you would have to kiss a plethora of ass to get it.

Cannon Shell 07-07-2010 03:40 PM

Maybe the Daily News will write an op-ed piece on this?

Yeah sure they will

FOr that much $$ must have been working on the opposite side

Cannon Shell 07-07-2010 03:42 PM

I did enjoy the reference that the guy formerly worked for Magna, like that was a good thing...

It's a joke and a very bad one at that. NYRA has been working like crazy to improve the operations and has made a tremendous amout of quality changes. I would assume lots of hard work and brains have made it all possible. To hear about a guy being hired for 1.5mil must be very deflating to all those at NYRA who have worked their ass off without raises or worse, former good workers that lost meaningful employment do to cost cutting that was needed because of the OTB issue.

Are you aware if anyone is currently willing to lend farms money based on the Breeders award receiveables they have in arrears?
