He has a displaced fetlock and is certainly done racing. They were hoping he'd be able to survive per TVG.

He's got circulation so that's a good sign. I hate to be a party pooper, but hopefully he doesn't have to deal with laminitis during his recovery. It's just so incidious. Can't assume anything even after a successful surgery. Best wishes to him and his connections. Fingers crossed that it's all forward progress from here on out.

More details on the situation. Yikes, 50/50 after the surgery. I'm happy they're happy since that's better than having the odds decidedly against you, but it's still not the most comforting stat.

his injury reminds me of chelokee, who also was given 50-50 after surgery.
