Sorry

To those I offended a couple months back. I decided to go back with my best friend alcohol and in turn I become, with the bottle in my hand, a different person then who I really am. Alcohol in my system turns me into an animal without a cage.

I vaguely recall blasting Hooves, thats it. I'm sure I said much more knowing how I roll under the influence.

I got some sober time under my belt now, a great suport system and got some medical help as well.

I missed this place and consider a handfull of you my friends, you know who you are. I won't be back on here for a long while because part of my recovery is staying away from all forms of gambling for the near future.

To those whom want to stay in touch, all I ask is say a prayer as I have a long, long road to go. No job, lost most of my personal belongings, my health is still in limbo from the alcohol abuse, etc etc blah blah blah.

I just needed to get this heart felt apology out, its part of my recovery.

No Saratoga this year but maybe 2011.

Take care guys,

Curt

Curt,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some hard times. However, it is good news that you are sober again. As long as you stay sober, I think everything will work out well for you. I know that staying sober is not easy but I know that you can do it because you've done it before. Good luck.
Sincerely, Rupert

If every journey of significance starts with a first meaningful step let this one be remembered as a heartfelt beginning to the gift of sobriety. If you want what others have may you have fortune to do what others do.....GL

It's an ugly illness indeed.... May you always find the strength Curt to conquer it.

Antitrust32 06-29-2010 07:57 AM

Mr. Toast...their replies are worthless.

Just a few typed ,insincere words and....pppht!! You are out of their collective minds.I want you to try something for me.

Make an imaginary friend who is your friend and mentor...and also like a parole officer.

You will get there.

I should not have said what I did...so I'm sorry. No one yelled at me...am doing this on my own.If someone had yelled at me, I would not apologize.

The thing is...Ralph Geeker and Coach made me do it.

They are very bad men.

Ah don't know,Dim.....don't think there is any such thing.

Maybe switching trails, but really don't think the past can be changed. What's done is done....and it is what it is.Take Genuine Nincompoop Lady....

..well no.

Things are what they are as are events. They don't go away whether they suck or not....whether they were "attoned" for or not.

This is why I prepare to head for the wilds of Canada this weekend.

Are you getting any of this?

Read you loud and clear...but you're dead wrong! Your fatalistic views sap true joy from your existence. Happy hunting!
