US Supreme Court Affirms Ban.......
 

By a margin of 6-3, the US Supreme Court affirmed the ban on aiding groups tied to terror. That fantastic new judge (Sotamayor) was one of the dissenters. I can see the "wise latina woman" (as she calls herself) is off to a great start. She was a great choice for the Court. LOL.

“Plaintiffs may say anything they wish on any topic,” he wrote. “They may speak and write freely about” the Kurdish and Tamil groups, “the governments of Turkey and Sri Lanka, human rights and international law.” Indeed, the chief justice added, the plaintiffs are free to become members of the two groups.

i agree completely on the above point....no one is barring free speech in this case. barring support is not the same as barring speech.

Surely she will vote against the City of Chicago's ban on handguns (even in your home) coming up for a decision this summer, unless she feels only terrorists should have weapons. :eek:
