Turf racing at Belmont

What is going on with the turf racing at Belmont. Last race (Race 2) they went to the half in 52.3, do any of these jocks have any sense of pace?

Perhaps you need to peruse the paces for other 1 1/16 races on the inner turf. They are always very slow, especially when the rails are down, partly because there is no runup and the early part of the race is very tricky. This race also had ZERO speed on paper.

Trusting NYRA jocks to press frontrunners on turf is a quick way to the poorhouse.
