6/11: Belmont Park (2nd-9th; $30k C/O)

Fun day of racing Thursday produced mixed bag of results with a number of nice priced winners on the plus side, and an agonizing P4 miss at Hollywood on the down. Carryovers were produced at Churchill ($31k) and Belmont ($30k; see below) Thursday, with the Louisville version tripped via Orianna Rossi booting home impossible Irish Witch ($38) in the featured 8th. Though that dashed any multi-race hopes at the Downs, Bk's Sis' Birthday ended the card on a bright note paying $18.00 as a silly overlay in the off the turf affair, and keyed a handsome $220 triple and $644 super.

The modest Hollywood's P6 play was knocked out early, but some good P3's and win mutuels, highlighted by 'Best Value' top tabs Kaylie's Joy ($12) and Milty Way ($14.80), made the Cali action OK. As I feared on ATR Thursday evening, going two deep and leaving 7th race feature third choice Sirocco Strike off the P4 ticket was the kiss of death, and the play returned $540. Still, a solid day overall. Hope you did well! All day racing Friday with first posts (Eastern time) coming at Belmont at 1:00p, Churchill at 6:00p and Hollywood at 10:05p!

Thanks Steve. I played the 9th race with your selections and was very surprised to see the super pay $265.50. Really pads the bankroll for the weekend. Your insight is incredible. Thank you.

Very nice day! Too bad I was watching the Hawks celebration. Even-Stephen I guess.

Tomm/Steve,

Thanks a lot.. Especially glad you caught the exotic Tomm. Fourth Chapter getting the photo for second had potential to juice that payoff. Was very disappointed that I left Merriweather Jessica off the tabs, but despite missing the biggest targets the last couple of days, I thought I've had some good looks. Have felt more confident the last couple of weeks than I have in a while.

Good luck this weekend!
