So disappointed in Fantasia's lack of run in here.

Proviso is a beautiful horse, she looked terrific from the paddock all the way to the winner's circle.

As for Fantasia, I bet her, and she's just not up to this caliber. Tough weekend for Jonathan Sheppard too with Rainbow View running so poorly in Canada.

Hurt my day as I played Fantasia quite large coming off that effort in CD. Thought she had run till the quarter and then nothing. Its not like the Just a Game came back fast either. Back to allowance races for her for now.

The ride on Pinckney Hill was a debacle.

I know he was checked in mid-stretch but he wasn't running better than fourth with a clean trip.

I was not thrilled with the ride on Expansion.

Gorgeous!

The first one of Proviso and Gio Ponti are my favorites!

Watch it again, I'm sorry, he hits the board with a better ride. Clearly

I watched it through my binoculars, then the replay at least four times. He had an absolutely perfect trip up to the 1/4 pole. When he swung out he was moving well before having to check but he would have been hard pressed to outfinish Expansion let alone Winchester and Gio Ponti.

Angel Penna is a very good trainer but his horses are getting bet like he's Shug McGaughey all of a sudden.

He didn't check, he was stopped cold. There is no way with that trip, which was perfect up to that point, he isn't right there at the wire.

I have to watch the race a few more times but didn't many horses have lousy trips?

Then again, I guess that's obvious given that Winchester won.

A lot of horses in a turf race, that can and does happen. My problem is that there was room to the outside for his run off the turn and he still chose to thread the needle instead of giving the horse clear running room. It doesn't help that I talked myself off Winchester due to the firm going which is why I asked Steve about rain in the thread on Saturday. Ugh.

The Irish lad around here has the opinion that she is a better horse off the layoff. So far, her last two races have showed that, if I am thinking of the same horse
