That is the entire problem with this ****in sport! Why is everybody supposed to love everybody else? The business is already so incestous and overrun with conflict of interests that you should be happy that the guy was upset he didnt win. Like Bill Mott and Mike Smith have never won anything and we should all forget about our own personal feeling to slap them on the back?

Is criticism of Nick off limits here? Just wondering. I had a thread pulled.

I shut the telecast off as soon as Drosselmeyer crossed the finish line, but what did Zito say and what should he have said? He's allowed to be disappointed - he's not a robot. I'm sure he was happy with Fly Down, but still - finishing 2nd and a close second is frustrating

He was asked about Ice Box. He responded about Ice Box. He also said he was happy with Fly Down who he said "ran great".

End of story.

That's it, then. I thought going into the race that Fly Down was the better horse - I guess that's the truth. However, 2:31 and change? Of course, he'll never have to run the distance again.

Nothing was pulled. Though this one will be merged with the other, non-pulled one that wasn't pulled.

I think the only certainty is that Fly Down is about a 1/2 length better than First Dude.

No, I still think Fly Down is better than Ice Box......not Drosselmeyer at this time maybe, but I think he's a very talented horse.
