Will I ache tonight ?

Looking at The Preakness I really believe Super Saver steps up today ala Funnycide/Smarty Jones., But I keep going back to Aikenite. Why is he here? Why would Pletcher run him against Super Saver? If SS wins, he goes for the Crown, If Aikenite beats Super Saver, Pletcher should shoot himself in the foot. But maybe just maybe Aikenite is ready to bust out and run his best race. and Pletcher knows it. So it looks like a Pletcher exacta. Super Saver over Aikenite.

His owner decided to run him in the Preakness before the Derby. He is not going to scratch just because another one of his trainer's horses won the Derby.

It's not Pletcher's call. He trains for Cot and Dogwood, and they want to run their horse. What's Pletcher going to do? Tell them he doesn't want to run their horse because he has another horse that has won 1 leg of the triple?

Much ado about nothing. Aikenite isn't beating SS today.
