5/8: Belmont Park (1st-10th)

Not sure how the one P6 ticket that connected Friday ($35k) was able to include the $40 and $37 winners of the 6th and 7th, but god bless 'em... I couldn't have strung those two horses together in a sequence under any condition. The $1 P4 returned over $4k. Long-running Dwyer Stakes Saturday at Belmont, with Dee Tee featured on the undercard as Lloydobler faces off against a quality group in the third. Thanks to Gary Sciacca and Chuck Simon of course who continue to make the Stable project a thrill for the 100+ involved! I wish I could be at Belmont today, and hope the partners and the rest of the supportive DTers enjoy the action.

I bet the 11 in the 7th at Belmont, so maybe I'm looking at this with jaded eyes, but did anyone else think that was a terrible DQ?

MISTERGEE 05-08-2010 08:12 PM

I bet em too, but he made a sudden and uneccesarry jerk to the outside forcing others wide as he drifted out

Payson Dave 05-08-2010 08:13 PM

Sighty...I'm just guessing here... but Andy may think so also

Anyone with any eyes thinks that was a terrible DQ. One of the worst I've seen. Props to Andy for not losing his **** on air about it.

To see the other end of the spectrum, check out the 6th at HOL. Incredibly, they left Shadow of Illinois up. Maybe the NYRA stewards need to watch that race and get clue as to what CONTACT is all about.

I agree that this is one of the worst DQ's I have ever seen. I could not believe that they even gave it a second look. The NYRA stewards really blew this call.

Thanks, I was wondering if I was just missing something with it and being biased. I don't get pissed off real easy, but that certainly did me in!

mm1019 05-08-2010 08:42 PM

What A joke I was there and had the 11 in my pick 3,4 and it cost me both when they took down the 11 for basically nothing the 7 never lost a step I felt like walking out of the track.

bigdog_14086 05-08-2010 08:50 PM

I agree, bad DQ. Lost the Pick 4 because of it

ARyan 05-08-2010 11:51 PM

It was horrible, check out the Saturday play along thread, many of us were up in arms.
