It's official, another sloppy Kentucky Derby
Someone always has to post the dreaded threat of rain for the big race
http://www.almanac.com/weather/longrange/KY/Louisville I like Backtalk amidst these thunderstorms, if he can get in with enough defections. 2-2 at Churchill;2-2 on wet tracks. Plus, he'd be a good 75-1 or so |

Does anyone know the site to see if the horses I plan to bet will have a good bowel movement that morning?

Last year Friesan Fire was favored over a wet course .

If someone could also pull up the Friday BC forecast that'd be a huge help... I'm trying to find a single in the F&M Turf, and am concerned about off going.

Last year's track was listed as wet, but it hadn't rained a drop in a solid 16 hours before post time.

We sure got lucky last year when there was an 80% chance of rain for the Derby. I remember standing outside the gates at 7am in the rain, after rain all night Thursday, most of the day Friday, and all night again Friday. It quit about 7:30 and didn't start back again until 8pm.

That rain last year Friday night was like a monsoon, too.

Sunny and 80 degrees is the forcast now

Haven't had a really nice, warm Derby day since 2005. 2007 was a decent day, but 2006, 2008, and 2009 saw a reasonable amount of rain before and after the race.

It rained Oaks day in 2008, midway through the card - the day Chelokee broke down. But the sun shined mightily on Derby Day - wasn't a cloud in the sky all day...got the worst sunburn of my life. It was a great day otherwise...oh yeah, except for the fact Big Brown won and Eight Belles died.
