There was a New York horse Lethegoodtimesroll (sp)? well something like that.
He kept getting beat becasue he was more worried about biting the other horses than racing. Until they put a wire mesh around his muzzle. When I saw that I knew he was the bet.

I get that there'll be a lot of amazing pictures taken over the year. If a horse won the Triple Crown, then something related to that would win the Eclipse I'm sure, but c'mon, isn't this so much better a catch than your standard 'jockey in midair' shot? It'll get a lot of attention, and it's unusual. At least an honorable mention.

This photo, titled "The Savage" by the great NYRA track photographer Bob Coglianese, won an Eclipse in 1980. You can usually buy a signed copy from his ebay site (though I just checked, and he's got nothing for sale at the moment).
