Alan Seewald passes away

Long time New Jersey horseman Alan Seewald apparently passed away in his sleep overnight. Seewald had been the focus of attention at Tampa over the winter thanks to the Fantasy Lane 3yo Uptowncharleybrown who is scheduled to run Saturday in the Lexington.

Sorry to hear. I didn't know him but had seen him iterviewed. He seemed like a decent horsemen. He was certainly a NJ mainstay and I'm sure he'll be missed there.

I've known Alan and Kate for about 15 years, and he was truly a gentleman. He was really enjoying Uptowncharlybrown.

They will be having services tomorrow 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at John P. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Road, Middletown NJ, with a funeral service @ 8:30 PM. It is my understanding that Alan's wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes spread at the barn.
