pp info

I have been studying the differnt racing forms forms for 25+ years and have seen them add new features as info and becomes more informative(beyers, stud fee, sold at auction price, tom figures) and the different publication try to be more informative. What I am not aware of is do any of the publication show in the pps is, if the horse is a home-bred, was it offered at auction and what price they turned down? The forms show when a horse is claimed but is there any notation of a private sale of the horse? They show the change in trainers but not owners or if they do Im to dumb to recognize. Some might think this is a trivial matter but I would like to try to use this info.

The only way I would know how to check that would be to pull up the previous charts and see who the listed owner was and compare it to the owner currently listed in the PPs. Not the easiest way but if you just wanted to check on a few horses...it's one way to do it.

As far as any info you're inquiring about, I haven't seen any in the PP's. You would have to do some research to find out.

I think Brisnet has free lifetime charts now. I know all I do is log on and so far I think I have gone all the way back to 2004.

They do. This feature has helped me catch up on some lost time. I love it.

Equibase also has free historical charts going back to 1991. Pretty cool to be able to go back that far and look at some old races you remember.

One thing I was looking for is some of the "Home breds " that didnt meet the price they were expecting and how succesful these "Home breds" were on the track? We all know about the Green Monkeys but I would like to know how many of the breeders get it right by turning down the price bid at auction.

You will need to sign up with an email or the link may not work.

1-Under the drop down menu select RNA for sale status
2-In search by price category select "between these two amounts" and leave the amounts blank.
3-select the sale type and year
4-When the results come up you can toggle the appropriate category to search for your horse (by name, dam, cosigner etc.)
