NYRA job cuts
With no end in sight of the financial issues involving NYRA they eliminated 14 administrative positions saving a total of 1.4 million this week. Sad state of affairs for NYRA and all who are employed by them. Who is next?

So those 14 employees made an average of $100K a year? Seems very high.
|
That's right. 100k to be absolutely useless. God Bless America.

I wouldn't think 100k in New York is considered very high.
|
It's probably 14 administrative assistants

Times-Union:
NYRA confirmed the departures without disclosing a list of names, but several sources confirmed John Ryan, a senior vice-president/chief administrative officer, was the highest-ranking official terminated. His $295,000 annual salary was the fifth highest on the management team. Others let go include Ryan's secretary, the head of group sales, the director of purchasing, the Saratoga operations manager and other secretaries. |
I was close.

you are correct , after all the taxes are taken out it's just walking around $$$ |
Others in the purge were Ryan’s secretary, Gina Toner; head of group sales, Debbie Solomine; director of purchasing, Mary Jean Coscia; and Saratoga operations manager Kevin Gremillion.

They both fired him and escorted him off the property a couple weeks ago. http://yourerie.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=104384 I hope taking a monumental beatdown for the ages from horseplayers on a silly promo that had recently concluded had nothing to do with that. Even different guys who had never previously seen a horse race in their life were pouring it on like Pepsi and piling up spins the one day they came out. His wisdom and genius will be missed. |
I thought the 'Pro Racing Picks' under the Sports section was gonna be your Derby prep section.
Instead I found a Fantasy NASCAR league....Sweet.:tro: |
