How about the rain coming down between the two races?

No resistance from me in the face of such a definitive, all-encompassing rating.

The course must have been identical for both races.

We'll see what the Thoros come back as.....More a comment to me on the huge effort of MMFM with that trip.

Yep. John White made note of it on TV before the Kilroe as well... or I'd be thanking you for the great post and stuff.

That's the hardest thing about making speed figures for Puerto Rico racing ... you don't know if anything weather wise happened to mess with the speed of the surface.

Make Music For Me ran a hundredth of a second faster. That is hardly noteworthy especially given the likely difference in course condition, the difference in the opening half-mile times and the difference in the final quarter of each race.

All that being said, Proviso had an incredibly sweet trip.

Fair, but I doubt the course was much different at all, and MMFM was a maiden and the other race was a Grade 1.

In looking at his PPs, to be fair, Make Music For Me was not your average maiden. Hell, the horse had more graded earnings than Eskendereya going into the Pasadena!
