I'm sure that you woulda known that Mrs. Chenery already owned a (Super) horse or two.
He was on the pre-race interview feature today on what the Breeders Cup would mean to him.
I was wondering who he owned.

I was in the next room and heard someone say "Penny" ... so naturally I thought of Ms. Chenery.

And speaking of ghosts of the past ... did you notice that Roger Laurin trained a winner at Saratoga the other day?

P.S. By the way ... she was never Mrs. Chenery ... that's her maiden name ... or "née" as they say in high society.

I was wondering about her name after I posted.....so who does the "other" Penny own? Anyone? Class? Bueller....?

Helen "Penny" Chenery is the daughter of the late utilities magnate ... or possibly magneto ... C.T. Chenery.

She married twice ... the first time to a bird named Tweedy ... and the second time to a loser whose name I forget ... and she did too when she quickly dumped him ... and reverted to her maiden name.

Does that answer your question about which horses Brad Penny owns?

Who could better symbolize being a bold Brooklynite?

P.S. You may have missed it ... but ... some numbskull on this forum swore that it was Jackie Robinson!

Yeah, I missed it. I named my puppy Jackie as a tribute Jackie Robinson.
In fact, he's my profile picure.

Yes, Brad Penny owns a few horses. I know he owns a horse named Excess Temptations who won at Hollywood Park. Howard Zucker is the trainer. Paul Lo Duca owns some horses too.

I'm sorry to say this ... but ...

... neither person in that picture looks like Jackie Robinson ... or even Roy Campanella.

I questioned that myself. The pic is small.
