Ah, Nicanor's back

I have an email I use for DRF, Facebook, Twitter, etc updates so sometimes I miss stuff. Looks like Nicanor's done 4 works during the last month. How long would you guys guess (from knowing Matz and seeing the numbers) before he shows up in something? I know some trainers are predictable in how fast/often they work a horse before a race. He was gonna go for a graded stakes on turf before he got hurt. Do the dirt breezes indicate anything and if you started him in something, what would be your first choice?

If you're waiting for Matz to have a horse ready. . . Keep waiting.

Yeah with 20 mil in stock he certainly takes the patient approach. And the patient never gets well.

Where are all the updates on that half sibling to Mine That Bird who didn't look that bad in his debut at Saratoga?

Barbaro only won the Derby by 6.5 lengths - Mine That Bird showcased his greatness by winning by 6.75 lengths.

;) All I knows is what's in my stable mail. I really need to add some horses in that are getting on the Derby trail come to think of it. Stable mail isn't without its quirks. From time to time horses get labeled as having worked even though they're supposedly retired. Zenyatta for instance. :p

Thanks guys, I'm here all week. Tip your grooms and valets.

I didn't want to start another Zenya...I mean Nicanor thread, but just going over the Belmont card tomorrow and see he is entered in the 8th. This horse has been the odds on favorite in 7 of his 10 starts? Seriously? You just gotta love stupid.

And can someone explain to me his 104 beyer to me in his maiden win? I'm not much of a numbers guy, so I couldn't split a variant with a switchblade, but I just don't get that number:zz::zz:

it goes to show how people bet. they run on emotions and never win. if you are not a cold hearted (analytical) bastard you will not win. oh, i like this horse i'll bet it no matter what, every time it runs. i read threads to hear what horse is the best thing in the world and then bet against...it works pretty good...lol. most people are not gamblers they are fans and tracks/bookies love fans....lol.....quality road by 18 comes to mind,,,lol

did not go yesterday but the horse was not 8-5 either like usual. it was a price actually worth betting so people FINALLY got paid on this horse.
