Great News in Afghanistan

It's nice to finally be getting some good news: The Taliban's top military commander has been captured.

didnt Biden already take credit for the surge in Iraq? Though Obama was very outspoken against it and voted against it?

joeydb 02-16-2010 09:12 AM

Will Obama dust off that old "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner?

dalakhani 02-16-2010 09:38 AM

I think it is fair to give a little credit to Obama's policies for the latest success. However important it may be is debatable but be fair and give the guy a little credit.

Well, if you're pining for Obama to get a little credit......just think how happy we'd all be if he did it, say, 4 months EARLIER!

I think Obama has done a fine job with the two wars. I'm very happy he hasnt caved to the liberals. I had a problem with his apology tour.. noone needs to apologize for anything our country has done let alone our president.. we do more for the world than probably all the other countries combined! But I am pleased with Iraq and Arghanistan.. I think and hope we are on the right track.. He has been a good Commander in Chief, his most important responsibility as POTUS...

But we'll see what happens with Iran. There is very little stabilty in the middle east (way to state the obvious, huh?) and it might be impossible to achieve.

Yes, I certainly give him some credit.

I will give him some credit to Obama as well. I personally would never trust Pakistan.

Bush Official Criticizes Obama For Killing Too Many Terrorists

At a panel on national security policy at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday, a prominent lawyer from the Bush administration's Department of Justice said he was concerned that the higher number of terrorist executions taking place under Obama was compromising U.S. intelligence operations.

"Why have executions increased?" asked Viet Dinh, a professor at Georgetown University Law Center and one of the authors of the USA Patriot Act.

Citing a recent Washington Post article on the increased targeted killing of terrorists, Dinh complained that "the president and vice president expound this fact as a fact that they are actually successful in war."
