WinStar Derby Contest
|
Thanks Gioia :)
|
Has some nice prizes -- better than what the Churchill Road to the Roses contest has.
Looks like earnings is more important than winning a Grade 1 in this contest. Horse stables are divided into 4 categories and you don't have to pick a jockey or trainer (which can make or break you in the Churchill contest). The horse selections in each category do seem rather limited -- I could see many contestants having identical stables |
Regardless of the like stables, it is great to see another group other than the tracks promoting the sport. The fantasy games, the better. It is a fun way to stay involved. Thanks WinStar. And, God bless TIZNOW!

Agreed, looks like a nice contest.

Nice fun looking contest. Not sure how they are going to regulate the Buddy Bucks though and I can see people cheating. How exactly do they plan on verifying this?

They've got another contest for the Preakness to name Super Saver's half-brother by Medaglia D'Oro. Here's the link and there's a video of the lil fella. http://winstarfarm.com/media.aspx?vi...&v=2f6b5pvRm7A We'll hopefully have a winner of the contest by this weekend, hopefully both the race and the contest cuz that maximizes the prize.
I've fired off a suggestion. It'd be fun if someone here got to name it. You win some scratch too. If he wins the Preakness you get half whatever comes from a $1000 win bet on him + $100 to spend in their gift shop thingy, and then obvious the opportunity to name the foal. Does anybody know if you can do more than one? |
