Zenyatta 128 Rachel 127

respective ratings from the World Thoroughbred Rankings

Goldikova beats them both on 130 though. Id agree with that, but Rachel did have the more complete season.

the more I look at this, the more pissed I get... who on earth could watch Zenyatta and Rachel race and say there were three horses better than them in Europe. Rip Van F'n Winkle?!?!? Sea the Stars is as overrated as David Beckham and British comedy. I still think Zarkarva would have beat his ass in a handride.

"World" Thoroughbred Rankings. . . right.

The Indomitable DrugS 01-12-2010 05:55 PM

St Trinians - in the form that she's in for Mike Mitchell - would have comfortably defeated Zenyatta twice this year.

I know, I know... I'm only speaking the painfully obvious.

revised numbers...

well, I don't know that this makes things any better, but at least they are "properly" placed above Rip...

And how long can that one survive on the stuff she is given? When was the last mitchell high level horse to make it through an entire season healthy?

Who knows.

But yeah - why waste valuable keystrokes posting about how excellent all of her American races are - when shes probably going to have a case of the Mitchell sours sooner or later?

She can get early seperation and stay within her style - and thus she has the picture perfect style to beat a Zenyatta or Life Is Sweet. And .. unlike Anabaa's Creation, Leathal Heat, and Briecat .. she isn't a steaming talentless pile of horse flesh.

Well Zenyatta is retired so you can speculate...Life is Sweet not in the same class as Zenyatta (I think that is not up for debate) so yea should probably would give her all she wants.

Look at the head-on in the stretch. When's she gunna let loose of the damn lasso she's twirling? That Marty Jones horse (Unzip Me?) does that a lot. Cutless Reality did it. It's not ideal, though. You don't want to have to beat top horses while doing that. She's big n' strong, but that action:zz:

I saw that, looked like she was running in 3 directions at once. Jockey said it feels smooth.

It's a big stride, and that's a huge advantage. She's been hurt once, and I would expect that to be a more immediate threat than other horses are.
