Wow. St. Trinians stepped up to stakes company and won impressively -- she ran almost a full second faster than Neko Bay did in winning the Grade 2 stakes two races later. This mare may have a nice future.

Furthest Land laid an egg and laid claim to the common belief not to bet Breeders Cup winners in their next race.

todays result just proved that Smith should have been put in prison after his last ride on Neko Bay, however they put him back on the horse so it must not have bothered them as much

I like Evening Jewel in this race. Good workout pattern - though it is curious that last work was on the turf for this race.

By the way, this might be a "dumb question" but, can anyone explain to me why all the workouts in California are listed as "h (handily)" ? Why bother listing a description for a workout when everything is "h"?

well then when you do see breezing you better take notice...there was one filly the last couple years that got several breezing works, she was pretty good.

I'll tell you what Rand, as I started going through the list of horses he has coming up to races, it gets scary. He is toe to toe with Baffert in most divisions, and is already something like 8 for 35 at the meet. He has a hot filly named SWITCH coming up for the Santa Ynez, and another filly STOCKINGS. DOMONATION goes this weekend and then he still has DAVE IN DIXIE, DISTORTED DAVE, SYDNEY'S CANDY, etc.. Deep barn.

Just imagine if Zenyatta was racing against St Trinians this summer?

Switch, in the Santa Ynez, is entered against the Hollendorfer filly She's Funomenal that absolutely destroyed Crisp in their respective debuts.

Looks like a fun day.

Dont forget the talented Machismo who will run in 3 weeks in the Sunshine Millions. On his day, he is very tough to get by.

The sight of the smooth-striding Zenyatta chasing down that crooked beast would be something to see. Smooth is definitely not a word that could describe St. Trinians' action but she seems to be pretty damn good.
