Angel Announcer Rory Markas Dies

I was saddended to learn that Angels' announcer Rory Markas has died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 54. I don't know how well known he was around the country but he was a fixture on the sports scene here in Southern California. He was the play-by-play man for the Angels. He did USC Trojans' basketball. He was a sports anchor on the news. He did it all. He was very popular. This is very sad news.

Very sad to hear he had passed. I heard him several times on XM. He was very good announcer.

Rory was really versatile in the things he did: football,baseball, and news reports every half hour. Seemed like a great guy. RIP.....54 is still too young to go!
