A couple of interesting races at SA Weds, including..

That now famous 7.7 million dollar RNA, Take Control.

That's the AP Indy - Azeri 2yo that ended up going for about 25% of that the following year at a 2yo sale.

Also, Sidney's Candy returns off an extended break. He's the Candy Ride 2yo that won by 4 in a very fast time second time out and had a lot of people talking.

There are a couple of interesting horses going against him in there.

As for the Azeri 2yo, he drew the rail going 1m for his debut and his main threat would seem to be the outside horse, who is out of the extremely nice early 90's mare Pacific Squall.

Re: Take Control, He has had 3 gates works in a row also, I have always handicapped that as the horse has issues in the gate

Maybe, but the Baffert two year olds are hot right now.

Isn't he pretty big? I seem to remember that, maybe I'm wrong, but that could lead to gate claustrophobia of a stronger sort than your average horse right? Watching them try to shove Midnight Lute into a starting gate always looked like a woman with a size 9 foot trying to cram into a size 6 shoe.

Do we know if any of his siblings got shipped overseas or was it just Azeri? I didn't catch the buyer for that chestnut filly.
