2009-2010 Sire Ratings-Mazur/Helm
 

Added new categories, SYNTHETICS and STAMINA.

Aslo added Woodbine and Tampa Bay to their data base.

This years edition includes 4,300 sires, 55 freshmen 1st crop 2yr olds, 61 2nd crop.

Note: 1,056 sires are inactive out of the total, so Helm used 2006/2007 data just incase one pups up.

Also has moved away from life time wieghted stats and leans more toward recent performance.

And just when I began to understand the old a little bit, now this.:zz: :D

I have been getting the sire stats book from brisnet. I wonder which is the best?

I believe Bris is entirely statistical based... whereas Helm/Mazur have a little more TLC.

I see the helm book was published in Apr 09, whereas the bris book will be released I believe this month so it may be more current, although I see your point. Especially since I always believed sires mostly get less results as they get older. For example the Storm Cats and the Gone Wests may always show a very high ratiing with Bris but in fact have in the last few years shown diminished results
