Not a bad field running for $150 K at Calder in December...a couple 2nd place BC runners.

Yup - 3 grade 1 winners in the turf field

Precious Passion...1/2? Or even lower?

How can he be 1/2 or lower in such a big field with Cloudy's Night, Winchester, and even the first-time Wolfson piece that should take a little play?

I'm guessing 6/5 or so.

Ya, maybe your closer to the odds, but I think 6/5 would be an absolute gift.
I'll predict an easy victory at 4/5.

Will this be This ones for Phil's first race back since Belmont Stakes Day? Or did I miss his comeback?

Ran under Dove Houghton's name at Laurel in an allowance on 11/28 - won by 3.25 with a 97 Beyer.

Thats the hard part of fllowing Dutrow horses...hes always on suspension.
Thanks for that info.
Assuming he will be favored?
I liked Prince Joshua a lot last time at 13/1 but that Lake horse (Pashito de Chi) was just to stubborn and got by at the end. Lake's horse is running in the Gravesend at Aqu the same day. Interesting choice for Lake to run there instead of on this track where he just won on.

side note for those interested in playing Crc.. 5 trainers in the running for trainers title seem to be dropping everything in to win and they are, Dwoskin, O'Connell, Wolfson, Collazo, and White. All of their entries should be extra live through the last week or so of meet going into Gulfstream

Sheppard put Ro Ho back on Cloudy's Knight. He is a more forgiving man than I.

CK's 5th race since 9-19-09.
Quite a fall campaign for the 9yo.

Also quite a suicide mission that Livingston Street went on to ruin PP chances at a wire job.

MISTERGEE 12-27-2009 05:58 PM

it looked like the jock on Livingston Street did not know there was another mile to go, I believe at least temporarily coming down the stretch with a mile to go he momentarily believed the race was ending as he was whipping and driving to pass Precious Passion as he crossed the wire the first time.

reminds me of this race posted on YouTube. It's a Turf Paradise race and one of the jockeys does not realize they were supposed to go around again, so he takes the lead and opens up by 15 lengths

Its about time somebody went with that horse. I thought it was kind of cool.
